The installation location of the cooling tower has the following requirements:
Ventilation requirements
The cooling tower should be installed in a place with sufficient air inlet volume to ensure sufficient air flow into the tower. The distance between the air inlet side and the building should be greater than 1000mm to avoid poor ventilation affecting the heat dissipation effect.
An open area should be selected around the cooling tower as much as possible to ensure that there is enough space for air circulation to prevent hot air from backflowing.
Location Selection
The cooling tower should be positioned to take into account the backflow of cooling water. For open cooling water systems, cooling towers may need to be placed at a high level to allow for natural return.
Cooling towers should not be installed in locations with poor ventilation and wet air backflow, as this will reduce the cooling capacity of the cooling tower. Cooling towers are typically installed on the roof of the refrigeration station to create a high-pressure head to overcome the resistance loss of the condenser.
Basic Requirements
The foundation of the cooling tower should be kept horizontal, the pillars should be perpendicular to the base surface, the height difference of each base surface should not exceed ±1mm, and the allowable distance between the centers should be ±2mm.
The cooling tower and the foundation embedded parts should be firmly connected, and the connecting parts should be galvanized or stainless steel bolts, and their fastening force should be consistent and uniform.
Safety Distance
A certain safety distance should be maintained between the cooling tower and the surrounding buildings to prevent the noise and vibration generated during the operation of the equipment from affecting the surrounding environment and personnel.
Other things to note
During the installation process, attention should be paid to fire prevention, and it is strictly forbidden to use open flames such as electric welding in the tower body and its vicinity, and it is not allowed to smoke among the personnel present. If an open flame is used, appropriate safety measures should be taken.
The water tray of the cooling tower should be free of leakage, and the water distributor should be evenly distributed. The radial clearance between the end of the wind blade and the surrounding of the tower body should be uniform, and the angle should be the same for the blade with adjustable angle.
The inlet and outlet pipes and supplementary water pipes of the cooling tower should be provided with separate pipe supports to avoid transferring the weight of the pipeline to the tower body.
In summary, the cooling tower should be installed in a location that meets the requirements of ventilation, location selection, foundation, safety distance, and other considerations to ensure that the cooling tower can operate properly and achieve the expected cooling effect.
